Tibetan women are known to wear very large and bold jewelry and these are in that style.  Colorful, rare stones are prized, and even small pieces are not wasted.  They are seen here in a delicate mosaic inlay of coral and turquoise framing the silver plated brass shield shaped earring.

These earrings are lightweight despite their large size.  Each one is handmade by Tibetan artisans in Nepal.
